WINE SPECTATOR rates three wines of Agricola Castellana SCL

June´s edition of Wine Spectator brings us new ratings for Spanish wines. Three of our wines have been tasted and here there are the results: CUATRO RAYAS BARREL FERMENTED 89 POINTS Lanolin, rose petal and vanilla notes give this velvety white the carácter of traditional Rioja. Pear and apple flavors are still fresh, with crisp acidity that keeps it juicy. Has a silky texture and a floral finish. Drink now CUATRO RAYAS RUEDA VERDEJO 87 POINTS This firm white offers pear and lanolin flavors with an almost chewy texture. Crisp.lime scented acidity drives through the finish where floral and tangerine notes linger. Drink now through 2009 Cuatro Rayas has got one of the highest scores of verdejo from DO RUEDA of vintage 2007 AZUMBRE VERDEJO OLD VINES 86 POINTS This bright white offers aromatics of a good gin, with floral and tropical flavors enlivened by crisp acidity and a light spritz.
