NEW AWARDS FOR CUATRO RAYAS WINERY

 Cuatro Rayas Sauvignon is awarded anew with a Golden Bundle prize.

Valladolid, June 11, 2010.  The jury at the XIII Edition of the Manojo Awards has decided to award to the Cuatro Rayas Sauvignon and Cuatro Rayas Azumbre Verdejo, the distinguished extension of the Cuatro Rayas Verdejo, a Golden Bundle prize and a Silver Bundle prize, respectively.

 The Manojo Awards have as their main objective to "honor and recognize the professionalism of cooperative wineries nationwide" and have become one of the most prestigious competitions in the country.  More than 500 wines have participated in this edition, selected among the best wine-producing cooperatives of Spain, of which only 27 have named prizewinners.

The awards presentation was presided over by Silvia Clemente, Castilla and Leon‘s Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, who, in her closing remarks, recognized the efforts dedicated to each harvest to produce these high quality wines which keep improving each year.

This has been a great year for the Cuatro Rayas Winery and, above all, for its newest varietal, the Sauvignon, which has continued to garner significant accolades at the national and international levels.  The latest triumph reaped has been this Golden Bundle award, which, together with the Gold Bacchus prize obtained just a few days ago and the Silver Medal collected at the London International Wine Challenge, among others, mark it as one of the best white wines.
